The role

  • Liaison with First Nations artists, Traditional Owner Groups, Aboriginal Corporations and First Nations businesses/organisations
  • Maintain database of above contacts and communication
  • Assist the Ochre Dawn Sales Team to connect with First Nations artists for opportunities
  • Assist the Ochre Dawn Project Team with artist engagements
  • Assist with coordinating First Nations artist training sessions
  • Support with clients Reconciliation Projects
  • Provide support to staff and management on arts focused cultural matters
  • Active engagement with First Nations communities to foster positive working relationships
  • Assist with the writing of grant applications
  • Coordinate cultural training for staff and clients

Requirements

  • Proven experience in community engagement
  • Proven experience managing projects
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Cultural responsiveness
  • Hands on experience of MS Office, CRM systems and financial systems/software
  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly and optimistic attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Police clearance or willingness to obtain one
