3 tips to prepare for Reconciliation Week

We recognise that morning tea is a key part of Reconciliation Week for our clients, but here’s how to celebrate with more than cupcakes this year! Read more to get a breakdown of how to promote inclusivity, conversation and meaningful engagement with First Nations Peoples this Rec Week.

  1. Engage a First Nations caterer! Supply Nation is a great resource to find caterers in your area.
  2. Have a cultural learning experience – see what is happening in your community and support and attend local events. Reconciliation Australia has a great list of registered events here.
  3. Create opportunities to share knowledge – invite First Nations peoples, Elders, and businesses to share stories from their cultures and organisations.
  • You can start by listening to some FN podcasts,  reading FN Literature (a handy hint would be to check out our previous FN Book of the Month editions for our monthly reading list) or even learn FN Language (for folks on Kaurna Land the Kaurna Warra Pintyanthi Team have an excellent range of online resources).
